Tessabit Bellagio store

Following the concept of the Menaggio store, Patricia Urquiola’s interior project for Tessabit Bellagio boutique has richer and enhanced details that help communicate strongly the link to the lake and the town.
More than just a shopping destination, the store is designed as a lounge for local people and travelers visiting Bellagio.
A tailor fit approach is applied in the whole space with bespoke finishes. As a start, the shop windows on the façade have screens in dichroic filtered glass. These panels act as a backdrop and create shadows and chromatic effects that change continuously, spreading the light always in a different way during the various moments of the day.
Inside the space, colours are interpreted in ever-changing finishes, thanks to custom metallic and iridescent coating, reproducing the lake’s palette, from green to sunset pink reflections, an homage to Bellagio colours.

Walls are doubled with panels, done in recycled fiberglass coming from boats in a grey seminato-like nuance, with products laying on glass shelves. Transparent containers dialogue with them and the space extends on a domestic wooden floor.
Patricia Urquiola also designs a little lounge area with a rounded sofa, giving a sense of conviviality and enlarged time.
