The Back Wing chair brings together the craftsmanship of wood with the tactility of leather, resulting in an extremely comfortable piece of design with an architectural form. Designed for Cassina, the structure of the ash-wood chair (stained in shades of oak or black) stands out, with the large sections of the legs and the cross pieces highlighting its solid form. In contrast, its slender, leather-upholstered seat seems to have been placed atop, folding like a sheet of paper around the rear of the frame. The fine padding and ergonomic angle of the enveloping backrest, which acts as an armrest, confers Back Wing all its comfort. Without visible stitching, the upholstery is enhanced with a leather piping, neatly and elegantly tracing and defining the edges of the chair.
