Patricia Urquiola re-designed Villa Pliniana interiors, a 16th century palace built on an inlet of the Lake Como and operating as a hotel. The renovation project establishes a dialogue with the existing architecture and the surrounding context, adding a touch of contemporaneity to the spaces. In the two main halls, Venetian-style floors, wooden coffered ceilings and micro drawing rooms are created for a private and exclusive dimension. Outside, priority was given to working within a few selected areas, allowing the surrounding natural context to triumph.
