A perfect mix of an interdisciplinary, intercultural and exhibiting space: such was the inspiration for Moroso’s exhibition space at the 2019 Salone del Mobile in Milan. These three distinct yet overlapping spheres of thought can be referenced for all design concepts. Matter and art materialize within the simplicity of the material and the colour palette. Closed on all sides, the booth opens onto the interior; various spatial divisions lead to a path, defined by contrasting visual elements. Walls have been airbrushed in two tones, a fading effect that stands for the creative path, ending with the product – a conceptual approach that leads back to the element of art.
The relationship between product and art is also highlighted by the use of Olafur Eliasson’s bookshelf and table, who claims that “art nowadays is no longer a sublime and marginal object, but rather a creation of cultural relations in which society’s skin and heart pulses“.
