Patricia Urquiola has designed the interiors of Casa Brera, a Luxury Collection Hotel recently opened in Piazzetta Bossi, Milan. The building, designed by Pietro Lingeri between 1954 and 1958, is an iconic example of rationalist architecture, restored to its original beauty through a meticulous recovery intervention. In all bedrooms, materials such as walnut wood, Fior di Pesco marble and printed glass create a refined atmosphere, reflecting Milan’s colors and architectural influences. A distinctive feature is the seamless continuity between the bedroom and bathroom, where Fior di Pesco marble connects both spaces, enhancing the flow and visual harmony. Custom-designed rugs echo the geometric patterns of the Rationalist building’s facade, further emphasizing the connection between the interiors and the architecture by Pietro Lingeri.
