Punkto

Punkto is a vibrant twill-woven curtain textile designed by Patricia Urquiola, inspired by her research on the twill-woven upholsteries Relate and Reflect. The textile features a unique diagonal twill-weave construction with one hue in the warp and two in the weft, creating a chameleon-like, iridescent effect that changes with light and perspective. Its soft, natural feel comes from irregular cotton-like yarns, adding texture and subtle imperfections. From a distance, Punkto appears three-dimensional, while intricate dots emerge up close, inspiring its name, meaning ‘point’ in Esperanto.
