Mantle

A free-standing storage unit with a distinctive and artistic appearance, designed to hold the undercounter convertible refrigerator, suitable for placement in various domestic settings such as the living room and bedroom, but also in more public environments such as offices. This cabinet is designed to adapt to increasingly fluid spaces, where the boundary between living room and kitchen disappears. Urquiola’s intention is to transform the appliance into a real piece of furniture, integrating the technology of Signature Kitchen Suite within a material piece of furniture, with sculptural forms and a handcrafted touch. Mantle is available in two versions: a sculptural one, using Cimento tiles, an exclusive cladding made of a revolutionary cement compound obtained from natural components.
