Gogan sofa

The Gogan sofa for Moroso derives its name and inspiration from Japanese traditions. The sofa’s form reminds indeed of flat stones sculpted by natural elements, which protect and embellish the banks of rivers and lakes. Solid, yet smooth enough to lie on top of one another. Like sculptures in which carefully positioned and interlocked rocks maintain a balance, in the very same way the shape maintains the elements of the Gogan sofa. Through a playful arrangement with gravity, the normally hefty shape of a sofa appears lightweight.
