The mountain house in Bormio is a conservative restoration of a stall with gutting internal vertical and horizontal partitions and a complete reconstruction for the conversion to residential use. The old construction woods have been recovered and the rustic character of the building has been maintained with the use of original materials.
Customers wanted a mountain chalet atmosphere with abundant use of wood. The original wood of the beams has been cleaned, and the new roof has been made with larch shingle roof tiles, making reference to the local tradition.
Almost all the furnishings have been fully custom-made, as well as the internal stairs, in old wooden planks, the fireplace and the kitchen, in stone and metal sheets.
