Installation at Nilufar Depot

Jali, the new 3D element designed by Patricia Urquiola for Mutina, becomes protagonist of an exclusive installation
within Nilufar Depot. Arranged over three levels, around a great central atrium, the space allows contemporary design to find a harmonious connection with iconic pieces of historical design. Different from the ordinary gallery setting, it aims at being a place for experimentations and original encounters, where the peculiar curatorial view of Nina Yashar – founder, gallerist and collector – meets and merges with emerging talents, historical icons and the city itself. For Nilufar Depot, Patricia Urquiola designed a monumental and scenographic installation, entirely realized with Jali bricks in Nero. A big lantern and a bench emerge from the wall, creating a meeting point and an immersive experience for the visitors, also thanks to the innovative use of lights which enhance the dynamism of the structure.
