Cassina New York Showroom
New York2015

Cassina’s Midtown showroom in Manhattan was refurbished in 2015. Inspiration for the overhaul of the 600 square-metre space was the brand’s history, reflecting the work of great masters of modernism, while paying attention to the use of innovative materials. Some design breakthroughs were used as inspiration for architectural and structural elements, developed with a contemporary view. V-shape positioned planks create a dynamic pattern on the walls, decorating and dividing the area. Suspended metal-netted panels create further space between the various living zones. Another architectural feature stems from one of Cassina’s master, Le Corbusier, with details of the asymmetrical Ronchamp chapel’s windows reconstructed for this project.
