Budri’s stand at Milan Salone del Mobile in 2014 draws its inspiration from the rabbet, a technical woodworking term. Technically, it refers to a recess cut along the edge of a piece of machinable material, forming a match to the edge of another piece. The stand is articulated around three walls, each erected with a different technique (inlay and metal, inlay and wood, inlay with geometric forms). The walls showcase different marbles, in soft colour and various processing, combined with copper and wood; they create an architectural landscape and interlock among themselves.
